- Autumn Mists: When the forests turn to gold, the Ventoux echoes with the stag’s roar. I wait for the moment a deer emerges from the fog, a majestic guardian of a realm that demands silence.
- Winter Silence: This is my favorite season, the season of truth. Seeing a procession of stags under the snow, moving with dignity through frozen rows of lavender, is a sight that haunts the soul forever.

The Wild Soul of Provence – Ventoux and Living Lavender
Lavender is not just a flower.
It is a world.
It vibrates in the wind, bends before the sun, sways in the heat and dust.
Each stalk tells the story of passing time; each scent is a memory that Mont Ventoux keeps for itself.
And in this violet that floats above the stones, life slips in.
The chamois moves silently through the rows, the stag hesitates at the edge, the mouflon watches without a sound, the eagle soars overhead, and the wolf, silent, moves through these fields as if they were its home.
All these presences coexist in a fragile balance, built of patience, vigilance, and wild beauty.
My gaze tries to capture this harmony:
the light filtering through a corolla,
the wind making the grasses dance,
the fleeting passage of an animal that does not need to be seen.
It is in this back-and-forth that life reveals itself, in this silent dialogue between lavender and creatures, between stone and sky, between humans and the untamed.
Mont Ventoux is not just a mountain.
It is an observatory of the world, a theater where every gesture, every breath, matters.
The lavender are witnesses, the animals actors, and I, at times, a careful spectator of this invisible symphony.
